Dr Hilda Podlas is a visionary and a shareholder in the Day Clinic and the Principle in the Radiology Practice. She is a very experienced radiologist skilled in clinical research, medical education, medical devices and psychiatry. Dr Podlas introduced MRI and CT Scan procedures to the South African Market and recorded the highest patient throughput in the world at that time (Associated Philips Healthcare Netherlands). She is the author of 43 international publications on radiology, neuroradiology, computerised tomography and MRI. She is still a highly sought-after interventional radiologist, who is involved in the development of new medical interventions and cost optimisation. Through her shareholding in Cape Hospital Developments, Dr Podlas is a significant shareholder of the day clinic and the radiology is controlled by her practice.
